Extended COVID-19 restrictions are impacting some of our delivery operations, including air freight. Our delivery network has also been affected by increased online shopping activity, meaning in some areas we are seeing parcel volumes similar to Christmas.

We’re making every effort to minimise delays and apologise for the inconvenience.

Why COVID-19 may cause delivery delays

Delivery delays can be caused by many factors, including the challenges of COVID-19. We’re doing everything we can to keep things moving while keeping you and our staff COVID safe.

Health and safety
New COVID-19 health and safety regulations apply to all workplaces across Australia.
We’re doing our bit to keep the community safe and prevent the virus from spreading – and this has meant changing how we do things. Social distancing within our processing facilities means we can’t always move items as quickly as we would like.
Fewer passenger flights
We usually rely on passenger flights to transport our parcels, but many domestic and international routes are currently suspended. The remaining routes have much lower frequencies.
International factors
Deliveries to and from overseas depend on overseas postal and delivery services. Restrictions and operating constraints are causing delays in most countries.
Some countries are not currently accepting parcels.
Fewer international flights mean some items may be delayed.
Items may be held longer than usual by Australian and overseas customs authorities.

What we’re doing about it
Some delays are beyond our control, but we’re doing what we can to deliver quickly and safely. We’ve opened new facilities and have expanded our air freight capacity to help keep things moving.
